As every year, BIEFF 2018 presents a highly special program dedicated to the most recent winners of the main prizes for Short Film in the most important and prestigious European film festivals: the Golden Bear at Berlinale, the Orrizonti Award in Venice or the Best Debut at Locarno, among others. The films in the Golden Shorts: Best Films in Major Festivals selection will be screened for the first time in Romania on Saturday, March 31st, from 7:00pm, at Cinema Elvire Popesco, and a second screening will take place on Sunday, April 1st, from 6:30pm, at Cinema Muzeul Țăranului.

YOU WILL BE FINE (by Céline Devaux, France, 2017, 15'), winner of the Grand Prize for Short Film (Orizzonti Award) at Venice International Film Festival 2017.
THE MEN BEHIND THE WALL (by Ines Moldavsky, Israel, 2018, 28'), winner of the prestigious Golden Bear for Short Film at Berlin International Film Festival 2018.
LES INTRANQUILLES (by Magdalena Froger, Switzerland, 2017, 13'), winner of the Award for Best National Debut at Locarno International Film Festival 2017
Director Magdalena Froger will be present at the screening on March 31st, with the support of Swiss Sponsors' Fund and Embassy of Switzerland in Romania.
GENESIS (by Lucien Monot, Switzerland, 2016, 17'), winner of the Pardino d'Argento in the National Competition, Locarno 2016.
