ANGELIKA RAMLOW — Representative of Berlinale Forum Expanded and Arsenal Institute Berlin

Angelika Ramlow

Angelika Ramlow holds an MA in German and Film Studies. Since 2000 she worked as an editor for Arsenal – Institute for Film and Video Art – as well as a freelancing journalist, writer and curator for different artspaces, such as Luna International or Kooperative Berlin. Since 2002 project manager of „arsenal distribution“ with focus on experimental film, video art and installations. Communicating international film culture in a lively manner is both the aim and mission of Arsenal – Institute for Film and Video Art. Working at the point where practice and theory come together, the institute comprises a space for thinking outside the box in (film) cultural terms, a cinema whose attention is focused on independent and experimental film and a communication platform for promoting dynamic exchange between film, academia and art linked to a whole network of different organizations. Angelika Ramlow is part of the Forum Expanded Team. Curatorial programs and lectures at Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, IFF Rotterdam, Kansk Filmfestival (Russia), The 4-VIDEOFORMA Festival in St. Petersburg, Dokfest Kassel, (S8) Mostra de Cinema Periférico (A Coruña, Spain). She lives with her two daughters in Berlin.


BIANCA LUCAS — Programmer of the European Shorts section, Sarajevo Film Festival

Bianca Lucas

Bianca Lucas is a filmmaker and programmer of the European Shorts section at the Sarajevo Film Festival. Of Polish and Australian origin, she was born in 1989 in Switzerland. She graduated from Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2010 with a degree in Media and Communications and specialisation in Film Studies. In 2017, she graduated from a three-year filmmaking course (Film.Factory, Sarajevo Film Academy) helmed by Hungarian director Béla Tarr in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Throughout her studies, she has been mentored by filmmakers such as Carlos Reygadas, Gus Van Sant, Abel Ferrara, Pedro Costa, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Guy Maddin, Agnieszka Holland, and many more. She is currently based in Paris.

 


CRISTIAN NEAGOE — Independent curator, Cărturești Foundation manager

Cristian Neagoe

Not knowing how to describe his work in short, Cristian Neagoe decided to call himself a “cultural instigator”. He studied Philosophy at the University of Bucharest and worked as a librarian, translator, writer, PR, publisher, curator, producer & event organizer in Bucharest, New York, Sibiu and other places, for organizations such as Cărturești, the Romanian Cultural Institute, the British Council, Goethe Institut, MNAC, Omagiu, Șapte Seri, CreativeMornings etc. He is also working intermittently for film, arts, music and literature festivals. He co-founded and curates Street Delivery, a national event & manifesto that reclaims public space for people, not only for their cars. He's interested in deviant, marginal, taboo aspects of contemporary culture.
